The season 7 trailer actually looks interesting. I wasn't too excited by season 6. Maybe they can find something fresh and new for season 7 after all.

Both trailers (the second one being from the 24 movie that is airing before season 7 starts and that serves as a connection between season 6 and 7 if I remember correctly) are to be found on the Fox site.

Well, nothing against Mr. Fishburne but I think this will be the beginning of the end for the CSI franchise.

Petersen out, Matrix's Morpheus in on CBS hit; character with a hidden past debuts in this season's ninth episode.

It's official! CSI has caught its big "fish" and doesn't have to throw it back. Emmy winner Laurence Fishburne will be joining the hit procedural this season, CBS announced today, just shy of two weeks after the first reports of the actor being courted to join the series hit the wires.
Fishburne will play an expert on criminal behavior who joins the CSI team in the ninth episode. But Fishburne's character won't be all squeaky clean. The unusual behavior that he sees in some of the most deranged minds is similar to what he sees within himself...spooky!

Seems like the writers got inspired by Dexter a little... or Manhunter, of course.
Anyway, with Jorja Fox gone, Gary Dourdan killed off in the last episode of last season and now Billy Petersen leaving there's really little left of the original team. Me not likey .

The X-Files - I want to believe in a good movie poster

So, the first poster to be seen was the US one. Kind of blah, very blah. The minimalist approach actually isn't that bad but the mini Scully and Mulder make it cartoonesque. I liked the X formed by light and shadows tho. It may have worked particularly nicely with the typical gun/flashlight approach that X-Files more or less pioneered on the small screen (entering a crime scene with gun in one hand, flashlight in the other and hands crossed over each other, so that the flashlight will basically follow the aim of the gun and vice versa -> this practice is also known as "tough guy jazz hands", I just learned ).

The second one to surface was the russian version of this one. Photoshop much? Sorry, but "YUCK!" and how on earth something like this can actually make it out into the world I will never understand.

And then the Brits got this one. My fave. Although photoshopped too, it's better done and even though Mulder and Scully look like paranormally inclined Ken and Barbie, I still think it looks okay enough to actually consider to put it up on a wall. Would have liked to have seen this around town in a larger scale instead of the germanized (tm) russian poster but oh well.

Still nothing that would get me hooked, if I wasn't into the series already but at least this gets your adrenaline going a little via the music and the editing.
